“She is Strong”

Working with Dr. Simm for the past two years has been a blessing. She’s Holy Spirit led, but also very practical. Talking to her is like talking to a friend.

I typically stay away from personnel struggle / self discovery types of books. The way the author switched back and forth between past and present made it easier to stay engaged in the book and go from cover to cover in a single sitting. I appreciated how the other “characters” were brought into the story without it being a “tell all”. The book deliveries a very uncomfortable topic in a very open and engaging way.

I don’t usually read non-fiction so I dont know how it compares to other stories like this but I thought this was an inspiring story! To see how her childhood was ruined and yet she manages to make a wonderful life for herself. The constant struggle with her past to become the person she wants to be and someone others can admire. Lynnette you are a true hero in my eyes for how you over came everything! P.S. you found an amazing man that knows how to support his wife!

OMG!!! I spent my entire afternoon reading your book….I seriously couldn’t put it down. So many emotions tears, laughter, anxiety…..I think I felt about every emotion reading today. So I started it about 11am and had to stop to go pick up kids from school about 2:45p (and I didn’t want to stop..) I’ve already read about 75% of the book!!! Thank you for sharing such an intimate part of who you are to help so many 💗💗💗. I can’t wait to finish reading.

Dr. Lynnette aids in accurately labeling, processing and navigating feelings, emotions, and life circumstances with faith/eternal perspective.

Dr. Simm has helped me start to come to peace with events from my past. I’m grateful for her guidance, support, advice, and friendship.

“Enjoy” hardly seems the right word to describe such a compelling story about an incredibly painful journey. But I did enjoy reading it. Dr. Simm’s vulnerability about her tragic experiences will enable many people to identify their own pain with hers. More importantly, they will be able to identify with her message of hope and healing

Before meeting Lynette my life was so broken. I had so much hurt, resentment, and anger inside me. Working with her has helped me love myself and helped heal me from past abuse. I can finally talk about the past trauma I have kept locked and hidden away for so many years. With her tools and guidance she has helped me heal, though it hasn’t been an easy journey, a journey in which I’m still in. I am not that lost woman I was when I first met her.

In a session that we had she had asked me “if I could change my name what would I change it to”? I said I didn’t know, but I did. The name was Cattleya which is an orchid flower that symbolizes beauty and elegance. Additionally the name is also said to represent individuality and uniqueness as the orchid is a rare and unique find. I wanted to be everything that name was associated with however Lynette has made me see that I am all those things and above. With her help she has helped me accept and love Elisa B.

What an amazing story. You won’t be able to put this book down. An amazing testimony of a broken girl that walks through her healing process to become everything she was meant to be. I love this book!

Dr. Lynnette has given clear understanding for situations that were very hazy in my life. She has provided a safe space  for me to grow and move forward from painful experiences from my past.
